THURSDAY CONCERTS AT DISCOVERY GREEN - September 26, 6:30 pm

Ray Wylie_Shiny Ribs

The 2nd in Discovery Green's Thursday Concert series continues when Texas legend Ray Wylie Hubbard hits the park for a night of gritty country and bluesy rock and roll. With a keen eye of observation and a wise man's knowledge, Ray Wylie Hubbard composes and performs a dozen songs that couldn't spring from anywhere else but out of his fertile rock and roll bluesy poet-in-the-blistering-heat southern noggin. Hubbard's last CD, The Grifter's Hymnal includes special guest Ringo Starr and shows that this Texas legend has a lot more fun in his future.
Kevin Russell from The Gourds is making waves and great music with his solo band, Shinyribs, and joins us hot on the heels of his most recent and acclaimed CD, Gulf Coast Museum.

A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR OF THE MANAGEMENT SELECTION AND REVIEW COMMITTEE

Each year KPFT's Local Station Board is tasked under Article VII, Section 3C and F to prepare an annual written evaluation of the General Manager and Program Director to be submitted to the Pacifica Executive Director. At KPFT, the initial evaluation is performed by the Management Selection and Review Committee (MSRC). Your insights into the efforts of Management at KPFT to preserve and Strengthen KPFT are an important aspect of these evaluations.

To this end, the MSRC has prepared a management survey for the General Manager and the Program Director to solicit your input into our evaluation. The success of this effort depends on broad participation by Programmers, Staff, Board and Committee Members and KPFT Listeners. If you do not have time to spend a few minutes to completing these two surveys, please save this email to use at some future time.

Links to the two survey instruments are as follows:

Your input is important to the future of KPFT.

Thank you for this time and all of your efforts on behalf of KPFT.

Jim Krafka, MSRC Chair
Robert Mark LSB Chair
Duane Bradley, General Manager
