Houston Fenians GAA Booth for USA/Ireland Rugby Match

Stacks Image 7

A Chairde,

Many of us will be attending the USA Vs Ireland rugby game this Saturday, 8th of June, at 7.30PM. The game will take place at the Houston Dynamo stadium downtown. If you have not bought a ticket yet, we would encourage you to go as the evening promises to be a fantastic display of sport and craic! Please keep getting the word out also to those who have not bought a ticket.

The Houston Fenians GAA will be hosting a booth in the run- up for the game on the day. The booth will be set up the back of Lucky's pub downtown: 801 St Emanuel St, Houston, TX 77003. This will be our meeting point for the afternoon as we have decided to not tailgate. I will begin setting up the booth at 1PM to be ready for a 2.30PM start. We will be putting away stuff at 6.30PM so people will have ample time to get their seats for the game. If you have ordered tickets through Deano, they will be available at the booth on the day from Murph or Philly, so make sure you bring your cash for your tickets! We will be selling club merchandise and tickets for the motorbike draw.

We encourage as many of you guys as possible to come down to the booth and have our presence known to the community. Deano has requested that you wear green on the day. If you don't have green, your Houston Fenian's jersey will do. Lucky's will have a band, a bar, and food for the afternoon's activities. No outside food or alcohol is allowed on the premises, only coolers of water for the day.

We will be meeting at Shay McElroy's after the match where our own Gerry McNamara has ordered in the beer to try and keep us going for the night!

If you have any questions, I'll be at training Saturday morning, otherwise send me an e-mail.

Beir bua,

Eddie Kelleher,
Oifigeach Gaeilge agus Cultuir.
