Rory Miggins Legacy Concert Sept 11th

Friends -- I wanted to let you know about this event and to thank you for being a friend to me, to Rory, and to the Miggins family during our difficult transition following Rory’s death in December. Some of you remember Local Charm, Rory’s bar and music venue. Some of you only heard of it. As it happens, September 11 is Rory’s birthday. He would be 53. Please feel free to pass along this information to others who might be interested. The concert is organized by Allen Hill, a Local Charm performer and gifted musician. The concert at Discovery Green on Thursday, September 11 features Texas Johnny Brown and I. J. Gosey and honors the legacy of Rory Miggins and Local Charm. It is the second concert in the fall series of free, family friendly shows at Discovery Green. Free parking begins at 6 pm and the concerts start promptly at 6:30 pm. Press Release: Thursday, September 11 – Real Guitar Heroes Starring Texas Johnny Brown and I.J. Gosey Put down the video games and come see real guitar heroes in action! Texas Johnny Brown and I. J. Gosey showcase the guitar traditions they pioneered in the 1950s as Duke/Peacock session players. The concert honors the legacy of Rory Miggins and Local Charm.
