North Texas Irish Festival (Celtic Music in Texas)

THIS WEEK'S CELTIC MUSIC HIGHLIGHT is, of course, the North Texas Irish Festival, Feb. 29 – Mar. 2. Headliners include Altan, the Battlefield Band, the Brock McGuire Band, Brother, the David Munnelly Band, Ed Miller, the Matt & Shannon Heaton Band, Nollaig Casey & Arty McGlynn, Seamus Kennedy, Shay & Michael Black, Town Pants, Needfire, and Celtic Spring. Some of the headliners will also be playing elsewhere about Texas: * The Brock McGuire Band will be in Houston (UST) Feb. 28 & Austin (Cactus Cafe) Feb. 29. * The Battlefield Band will be in Houston (Mucky Duck) March 4. Note: These mailings assembled by unpaid volunteers in a sleep-deprivation experiment. All schedules subject to change or perhaps even error.
