Benefit for Victims of House Fire
Sunday December 9, 2007 (4-8pm)
Ye Old Bull & Bush
2300 Montgomery St.
Fort Worth, TX
817-731-9206
Hello to all,
By now many of you have heard that Mark and Deb Dandridge (formerly
Deb King) lost their home in a fire this past weekend. They own the
property, but the house is gone. So we are planning to gather at the
Bull & Bush (they are on a dart team there), where Nick has graciously
offered us a place to hold a rather spur of the moment benefit. The
holidays are closing in fast and they need help now. So come on by for a
drink or the duration, and throw something in the hat. The musical
line-up will include Blarney Brothers and Trinity River Whalers for
certain, among them David Sparks, Rodger Harrison, Steve Harrison,
Matthew Williams, Micheal Price, Randy Christian, Marj Troyer and
Kathleen Jackson, plus whoever else I can round up. Please share this
with everyone in the Celtic community. Many will remember them as they
have both given a great deal of their time in volunteer work for both
NTIF and CHF over the years. Musicians - if you would like to
participate call me at the number at the bottom of the page.
Their clothing sizes are as follows in case you need to clean out the
closets.
women's size 18-20, shoe size 7
Men's extra large shirts, pants 36 X 36, shoe size 9 1/2-10
They don't have a full kitchen so food they can heat on one burner or in
a crock pot.
Beyond that, they really need funding for rebuilding.. .. or gift
certificates to places like Lowes and Home Depot... or donated building
supplies.
They did not have insurance so they are starting from scratch and have
to come up with the resources on their own. Anyone who has the time and
know how may want to offer to help them with the clean up and building
effort. They will need the help for sure!
Most of all they need our emotional support. We need to do all we can
to surround them with love and friendship.
I'm looking forward to a fun afternoon with our friends. After all
Christmas is all about helping one another. So come on out for a pint or
several of Christmas cheer!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!
Peace & love to you and your,
Elaine Christian
