Wednesday, April 6, 2006 will be a great night for the Irish (and Irish Americans) in Houston. The film will be showing here for ONE NIGHT ONLY. But the good news is that there will be a pre & post movie get together for all those attending the movie. Here’s the schedule: 5:30-7:00PM – Pre-movie get together with the director of the film in the movie theatre at the bar. 7:00-8:30PM – Film 8:30 until??- After Party (Sponsored by the Irish Boru Vodka) at the Mockingbird Bistro (1985 Welch). Also, the Producers of the film want to announce that you can now make online donations that will help the development of baseball in Ireland. They have set up a nonprofit 501c3 organization called Emerald Diamond USA. They have met a lot of people who have seen the movie and would love to make some kind of contribution - now it's possible to donate online. Donations will go towards purchasing equipment and uniforms as well as promoting the game in Ireland and fostering a player exchange program between Ireland and America. Since a lot of you have asked, the DVD will be released sometime this summer. It will have a bunch of deleted scenes, extras and all kinds of cool stuff.
