VICKI HAMILTON reports that she heard several selections form HUGH MORRISON'S new CD "Far From Home" on CKUA radio (ckua.com) on The Celtic Show from Edmonton. It's on every Friday night from 6 - 9 [Ft. McMurray, Alberta] time and listening is probably possible on-line; upon hearing this news, HUGH responded: "That's great news!!! I always like to hear that my music is being played, makes the hard work in the studio seem worthwhile!! "The Celtic Show" is a great radio program, well worth a listen!! Bonnie Rideout website: http://www.bonnierideout.com/ In the past five years, Bonnie Rideout has recorded on four award-winning CDs entitled: Celtic Circles, Kindred Spirits, A Scottish Christmas, and Gi’ me Elbow Room: Songs from a Scottish Childhood. She is a three-time US-Scottish Fiddle champion and has been featured on the CBS news show Sunday Morning, is consistently featured on NPR’s The Thistle and Shamrock, and has performed on other NPR programs including Morning Edition and Performance Today. In addition, she has won numerous WAMMIE Awards from the Washington Area Music Association (Washington, DC) and has authored four books for Mel Bay Publishing Company. * BRIAN TURNER joins the Sunday line up on the Ceilidh Stage (11:30 am to 12 noon); he will be performing traditional fiddle tunes on flattop guitar and Puerto Rican Cuatro and will also be performing fingerstyle instrumentals. Brian began playing guitar in 1968; he currently teaches guitar at Dr. Brianstine’s Music Studio located at Humble Music Center in Humble, Texas. He teaches students from age five to seventy-five, teaching a wide variety of styles, and has authored two guitar instruction manuals. She will be out of the hospital for 2 weeks tomorrow. All of her tests indicate that she is on the mend. . . . Her strength is good. Her mind is good. Her attitude is good. . .
