SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCING AND MORE:
TONIGHT: We danced: Guidman of Balangigh, The Sam Houston Reel, John
McAlpin, Bud's New Trews, On the Wallaby Track (recommended by VICKI
HAMILTON who danced it at the Washington ball recently), White Cockade,
Montgomeries' Rant, Lea Rig, Fiddlin Round (from the Devil's Quandary
collection), Three Drunken Maidens (a work in progress to go with the
song by the same name sung by Hugh's new band, "Murder the Stout") and
finished with a ceilidh version of The Mexican Hat Dance in honor of
Cinco de Mayo.
UPCOMING EVENTS - REMINDERS FOR OUR DANCERS
May 13, 14, 15 - Houston Highland Games - we dance Saturday - starting

June 3, 4, 5 - Arlington (I'll be there :-) and Hugh Morrison plays for
The Friday ceilidh (I'm especially looking forward to hearing Alasdair

The Art Institute of Houston and The Asian/Pacific American Heritage
Association Present “An Inspiration from the Past, A Bridge to the
Future.” The fifth annual exhibit of paintings, photographs, and
sculpture in celebration of Asian/Pacific American Heritage month.
