His work has influenced the growth of contra dancing and contra dance calling all over the U.S. He has been involved with contra dance for nearly half a century. Mark Jennings is Larry’s son, and has been surrounded by traditional dancing and music his whole life. Mark is proudly honoring his father by calling this special tribute to Larry. As a player of the clarinet, Mark has performed throughout the U.S. and internationally. Last Gaspé are based in Madison, WI. Blending traditional forms with contemporary innovations Last Gaspé creates an infectious, sparkling sound. A New England style contra dance band they combine Canadian, Irish and American fiddle music that swings! Sound familiar? Last Gaspé played for Bayou Bedlam in 2001.
