MEMBER NEWS
MARILYN JOHNSON has posted photos from her trip to Washington for the
Inauguration with commentary at
http://houstonshomes.tripod.com/Inaugural/index.html
which starts: "The NRCC sent me an invitation to George W. Bush’s second
Inauguration.
Should I go? I had been on their Business Advisory Council for several years
and had received a Ronald Reagan Gold Medal “for recognition of my support
of President Bush and the Republican Party” from them just before the
election in 2004. This year they nominated me to be Businesswoman of the
Year. They seemed to like me, and this might be exciting!"
note: it does take a bit to download but great photos :-) - Dianna

SCOTTISH DANCING IN THE LOIRE VALLEY, FRENCH CHATEAU, JUNE 23-JULY 2, 2006
From: "Ken McFarland" <farlands@ptialaska.net>
With Music by Waverley Station
My 2005 French Chateaux trip has filled up, so I've booked an entire chateau
(the chateau de Saint Loup) in the Loire Valley for a week of Scottish
Dancing in 2006. By bringing the chateau other dance groups in 2006 I am
able to reduce the cost of all the trips (English and Contra each have a
dance week there). Check out the attached electronic brochure!
Please reply by EMAIL ONLY to ken_mcfarland@earthlink.net
And mail the requested deposit promptly to finalize your confirmation. (FYI
a similar offer last week to English dancers filled 28 of the 34 possible
spaces quickly, so I encourage you to think it over and move as quickly as
possible :)
The brochure will be on my web page soon: http://www.reeljig.com/mcfarland/
