Benefit for Tsunami Relief on Sat 01/22/05
Clear Lake Musicians and Friends
Benefit for Tsunami Relief 20 bands in 10 hours of music
including
Clan Ceili, Celtic Voyage, Astronique,
Treethrow, Contra Band
Danny D's Guitar Hacienda and Mollys Pubs are sponsoring this event
Here's what we want you to do - contact all your friends and tell them to be at:
Pete's Barn (BYOB)
on
Saturday January 22nd
from 2.00pm til 10.00pm
2702 Calder Road, League City
Call as many bands and musicians as possible - Everybody Musicians, Roadies, Groupies, Fans, will be expected to contribute at least $10.00 each to the Tsunami relief fund (Banjo Players $20.00)
Also we will have a raffle and silent auction
Please solicit support from friends and employers for more funds
Everbody will sign a letter of support and hope for the future that
will accompany the funds raised.
We will have one mass song at 6.00pm that everybody will sing and play on.
We will set up the main stage with Drums, Mics, Guitar plug'ins etc and each band will play for a max of 30 minutes - Just plug in and play
We expect to channel 20 bands through the day
The important thing is to be part of the effort
If you wish to donate an item for the silent auction then this will be in addition to the $10.00 but very welcome. We are reviewing which organizations we will contribute to and will chose those with the lowest administration costs.
We also need volunteers to help during the day and the cleanup on Sund
