Patrick Miggins is organizing the statue ceremony this year in place of Larry Joe and Larry Miggins

This year's speaker is a dear Miggins family friend and former Houston Press writer John Nova Lomax.  Among many great articles John has written, he did the piece on Larry Joe which featured him on the Houston Press's cover as a vintage baseball player.

John Nova Lomax wrote on Dowling a few years back for the Houston Press:

Houston 101: The Short Happy Life of Dick Dowling

Civil War color guard from Galveston will do the honors, and the Texas Army will be represented.
