Cape Breton is the only living celtic culture in North America and also the only place where the native tongue, Gaelic, is spoken outside of the
motherland. It is a Scottish culture and it is Scottish Gaelic. You can also check out http://www.capebretonlive.com to hear regular recordings of concerts in Cape Breton and there is a video you can watch that is about an hour or so long from the Cape Breton Celtic Colours festival, the largest in North America. . .
Also, you may be interested in the Celtic Heritage magazine from Nova

[Dianna's Note: Natalie was in Houston a few years back for the International Festival - she puts on a terrific show!!]

SMITHFIELD FAIR: NEW CD
Band member Frang writes in part: "I was just informed that the new album Walking Thru This World is due to be delivered today!!! And I can’t wait to get the finished product in my hands. On another note the Smithfield Fair myspace page is going well and I am hoping to replace the song tracks with those from the new CD . . .
This just in: If you've been waiting to buy Smithfield Fair CDs at the next performance, you can help us out by purchasing NOW from CD BABY.COM. If we sell enough to qualify, we'll be on their new promotional sampler, which will be a great boost to the band. This only counts for the month of August, so, now's the time. Thanks for considering it."
