Celtic Music In Texas

THIS WEEK'S MUSICAL HIGHLIGHT: The Texas Scottish Festival and Highland Games, June 2-4 on the UT Arlington campus. See North Texas listings for details. ANNOUNCEMENT: The 2006 Austin Celtic Festival will be held on November 4-5. If you would like to be considered for performing at the festival, please send a CD and presskit to ACF Music Panel c/o Austin Celtic Association P.O. Box 684163 Austin, TX 78768-4163 The recording must be representative of your current lineup. Most (if not all) of your performance repertoire for the ACF must be in a Celtic style. Submittals must be RECEIVED (not just postmarked) by June 30. This is a strict deadline. They hope to have the selection process completed by mid-July. Performer honorarium is $100 per person for the weekend, up to a maximum of $500 per group. Typically each performer plays once on Saturday and once on Sunday.
