Clear Lake Celtic Festival Update

The 9th Annual Clear Lake Celtic Music Festival and Texas State Championship Highland Games, benefiting International Space School Foundation 501©3, St. Brendan's Project, and KPFT Public Radio, will be held this Saturday, October 22, Noon to 10PM at Clear Lake Park, Landolt Pavilion, NASA Rd 1. This year, there will be seven live bands and three dance acts performing at the pavilion. Also, we're very excited to be hosting the Texas State Championship Highland Games on the adjacent field. There are lots of crafts vendors participating, including great food and drinks, so this will be a really fun family event primarily benefiting International Space School Foundation. The International Space School Foundation 501C3 arranges host families, prepares space educational events, and buys airfare to bring up to forty high school students from as many as sixteen foreign countries to visit the Johnson Space Center each summer. The students are chosen by their home schools and during their visit to JSC, they are engaged in a space education camp and various cultural activities. Many previous participants have chosen to pursue educations in science in both their home countries and the United States. Admission to the festival is just $10; kids are free. We hope you can make it out to support a great cause and have a fun day of fantastic entertainment. Children especially enjoy the dance acts which are scheduled to perform at 1:45 PM, 3:00 PM, and 6:15 PM.
