MEMBER NEWS:
ED YOUNG writes in part: Announcing a New Profession
I am happy to announce that I will still be involved in the insurance
industry as I have for the last 26 years, but I am semi-retiring so I can try something new. I will be a Relationship Manager for Heartland Payment Systems, working . . . with business firms that do significant credit card processing, such as Restaurants, Auto Repair shops, Doctors, . . . and with companies needing to outsource their payroll processing. Heartland is the 7th fastest growing company on the Inc 500 list, & just went public last month. Since I am keeping my insurance licenses, I can still help businesses & individuals with their insurance needs.

EMERALD SOCIETY RELIEF FUND FOR NEW ORLEANS OFFICERS
(The Emerald Societies are fraternal organizations for police, firefighters, and other professions. If you ever saw a piper on TV after 9/11, that was an Emerald Society piper. Members of the Law Enforcement Emerald Society of Metropolitan New Orleans are in the fight of their lives right now in their destroyed city. Donations to this National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies (NCLEES) fund will get to them directly to help them and their families.) - Brian Leighton A fund has been established by the National Conference of Law Enforcement
